Mine was a google search for something like "tips for becoming a SAHM" - the sticky in one of the forums came up. I checked it out, and saw some of the other stuff on the site and joined! Pretty easy!

FWIW - this is the first and only place I've joined since looking for tips on becoming a SAHM. Many other sites wanted me to buy books, or didn't have traffic, or well organized info.

HTH!

I did a search for "tips for stay at home moms". It was one of the first sites that popped up. When I did some cruising around on the site and saw all the freebies offered and the frugal living/simple living boards I was hooked.

I was searching for ways to save money for DD college fund. I was looking for ways to save money in general and for specific education saving plans.

I found it by googling stay at home moms and saving money. I had just quit my job and was a bit panicked about going down to one income. It helped alleviate my fears that we could not do it and helped me regain my sanity by giving me other moms to talk to during a lonely transition time in my life from working/career woman to stay at home mom.
