Hi everyone! Just recently I was able to go from working full time to part time. This has made one of my "mommy dreams" come true; the dream of my children (son who is 9 and daughter who is 5) not having to be in after school care. I can now pick them up each day when school lets out and come home and actually have time to spend with them before I feed them, bathe them and send them off to bed! BUT, (you knew one was coming, didn't ya'?) I am already having my doubts as to how much longer I will be able to enjoy this. It seems that financially we are just barely keeping our heads above water. I stumbled onto this site tonight after spending several hours researching ways to live "frugally". This is a totally new word to me by the way. But one I am going to try to adopt wholeheartedly as you can tell from my user name! I'm hoping to get LOTS of ideas from you guys who have "been there, done that" before.
Thanks in advance for all the great tips/advice!

Becky- that is awesome that you can have more time to spend with your kids. There are so many ways to cut back and save... we're mighty frugal around here. Hope you can get some help from the forums... don't give up your dream!
