Hello everyone! I just found this site last night and I thought I'd take a minute to introduce myself while my little one is napping....
My name is Shannah - I'm 34, new SAHM of 5 - 2 of mine, 2 stepsons (my "bonus" kids), and our little "surprise" Aiden who is two. My husband is a firefighter/medic, I was a firefighter/medic for 6 years before we decided one of us had to give up the rotating 24 hour shifts after having our baby. Being a SAHM is definately not firefighting, it's tougher!
I'm hoping to learn more about spending less as well as make a few new friends. I'm a perfectionist and seem to feel like I always have to be cleaning something, so I'm hoping that maybe logging on once in awhile will atleast help me slow down and take a breather once in awhile. I seem to struggle most with making down time for myself.
My hobbies are crochet, scrapbooking, jewelry making, organizing ( I know...I'm neurotic!), and I really want to make a quilt but I get intimidated just attempting to choose the fabrics.
Well, I guess that's enough about me.

Thanks for the welcome!! I will check it out right now. Although I really should be doing something constructive.... My hubby is working his 24 hour shift at the fire station today and I'm feeling lazy. Maybe I'll bum around all day and force myself into working out just long enough to not feel too guilty
