WElcome to the group!!!

You mentioned your dd is type 1 diabetic!! how did yo notice she had it? I have people questionong my youngest dd who is 6 she is always tired and thirsty and seems to just drag when she needs food (I actually think she just needs to eat more regular snacks to keep up) I am about to call the dr about it since it has been brought to my attention lately!

I hope you dont mind me asking I just want to understand it more since there sound like might be some signs of it in my dd!!

We actually found out by accident. She wasn't feeling well, and showing symptoms of a UTI. I took her to the doctor for a urinalysis, and while she was negative for a UTI there was loads of sugar in her urine.

We tested her blood sugar and it as 682! Normal is around 90-120ish. She was admitted to the hospital and the rest is history!!

I'd be happy to try and answer any questions. Good luck.
