First let me welcome you to mommysavers. Im glad you've deciided to join us. Jump in and join the discussions!
Now, let me say,...moms will always have a unique and strong way of getting what they want one way or another. My mom is good at guilt trips and making us feel bad when things don't go her way. We just have to remember that she is our mother and regardless of what happens we are blessed to have her with us. Take the time and take advantage taht she is still around. ... It is a blessing. Good luck!

Many hello's to you!
I personally agree 100% percent with all of the above. When my mom comes visit me, I take all of her assumptions/views to heart on a positive level though. I want to be the daughter she wants and im blessed everyday that she's with me. Please try to understand her and enjoy her.

Welcome!

I couldn't agree more with what has been said. I've been there. My mama drives me nuts with all the drama, and guilt but I tell ya I love her so much.

Welcome we are glad you are here. I too often wonder about my Mom. I know she means well but........ Just take what she says with a grain of salt and know she only does what she does because she loves you.

It might be because we let them.

Tt seem like my mom tried her best to irrate me on the littlest things. Even if she asked me to do something, it was never right. If she asked me to pick up something at mcdonalds, either i got the wrong thing (even if it was what she told me) or they cook it wrong and somehow that was my fault!

I finally figure out that she was going to fuss about something, so I finally stop letting her get to me. When I stopped giving her any kind of reaction, she finally stoped being so nit-picky.

You know we are taught to respect our elders, and sometimes I think they take that to heart

Welcome! So many others have given you good suggestions that I don't think I can add to them. Best wishes!

I don't have much else to add either, but welcome to the board. Come here to vent whenever you need to.
