Hello,
I just found the site. I don't know how, but I'm glad I did. I am feeling like I want to be a SAHM, but will need to work a couple more years before doing so- 1 year to pay off all credit cards and car loan and another to save. I have a 6 month old and before I had her I had no plans to SAH. She has changed my world and I miss her when I am at work.
I am very scared of becoming a sahm because I don't know what it will be like to be at home all day without adult contact everyday. Luckily I am a teacher so my first big test will be this summer when I can see if it is something I really want to do before I actually do it. My plan is to work for the next couple of years and have another baby at the end of that time and sah until the second one is in kindergarten.
I plan to live only on my dh's salary for the next couple of years to see if we can do it. I'm sure we can, I am just going to have to give up the impulse shopping. I did it this past weekend. I wanted to replace my drapes in the living room and get new plates. I didn't need either one of these items so I stayed away from the stores and didn't spend a dime. Hopefully I can get this out of my system.
Sorry this post was so long. I just needed some time to write out my thougt I guess.
