I am new to this site and look forward to being a part of this family. From what I have seen and read here you are all wonderful and help out each other in many ways. I am a sahm of my dd (5 1/2), and like to bake, cook, and craft. Right now I am in the midst of trying to declutter, ugh. I look forward to getting advise and reading the posts and being part of a wonderful group of people.

Hi, and welcome! I too am from Illinois (momof2boys in il). I live in Petersburg (Abe Lincoln country) and work in Springfield. Where in Illinois do you live? You will find so many helpful hints, recipes, and the most important thing on this board....a support group for WHATEVER your problem/situation may be. I frequent this board many times during hte day at work, but not at home. I have dial up and can't stand waiting! UGH!

Hi Illinois Moms!! I am also in Illinois--I live just north of Peoria and my husband works in Peoria. I stay at home with our two kids--my seven year old is in second grade and my four year old is in preschool three mornings per week. My seven year old has a form of autism called Asperger's Syndrome so I'm glad I can stay home as keeping him up to speed at school and keeping his medical information updated is a full-time job in itself!

I am also from the peoria area. I live in Washington but work in Peoria....you will love this site. I have come to favor this site above all others. So many supportive women who understand and help.

This is to funny! I went college in Peoria at Midstate College. I worked at the YMCA which was right across from the dorm, which was an old hotel at one point. I use to go to Eureka college all the time to parties, and I bought my first car in Washington Il! Small world!
