There's a couple of good new wkly items, then the monthly items are still continuing. So without further ado...the aliadam CVS shopping list!! Please let me know if you find any more good deals. Let's add to our super duper CVS bargains.

Weekly Deals:
#1. Mennen Speedstick 24/7 deodorant --Cost $3.99, get $3.99 ECB, PLUS there is a $1 coupon on coolsavings or smartsource so YOU MAKE $1 IF YOU BUY THIS!!! Limit 1

#2. Softsoap Spa Bodywash....okay...you'll notice below in the monthly deals that you can buy up to 5 of the 12 oz ones for $4.99 and get $4.99 back in ECB, which equals free. BUT WAIT!!! There's a rumor going around that you can ALSO get the 18 oz Softsoap Spa Radiance $5.49 and get back $5.49 in ECBs. So that's 5 MORE softsoap you can get for FREE!!!!. So even if you've already gotten your 5 12 oz ones (like me) you can now get 5 more of the larger size. You may want to try this with just one to make sure because it's not advertised, but supposedly it works!!

#3. Skin effects--starting prices at $6.99 and get $5 ECB. Many people are getting CRTs (those little coupons that print off on your receipt) for $2 off skin effects products, PLUS if you have any of the CVS $3 off $10 CRTs you can use those if you pick up a few more things because they ARE CVS brand items. So you can MAKE MONEY!!! on this deal.

#4. CVS AquaPur water--24 bottles $3.99 plus there's a $1 ECB so you can get 24 bottles of water for $2.99. Okay, okay, I know it's not free or they're not paying you to take it, but it's a good price for those like me who have kids who take bottled water to school in their lunches.

#5. Alavert--on sale for $6.99 Some people have gotten $2 CRTs which you can also use with a $4 printable coupon PLUS you can get $4 back in ECBs. So you can MAKE MONEY if you can find the coupons.

#6. They also have Schick razors on sale, and there's a BIGIF coupon in today's paper. So if you need to spend some ECBs...this would be a good way.


CONTINUING MONTHLY DEALS FOR APRIL:
These deals are good for the whole month of April. However they tend to run out early in the month, so I advise you to get them as soon as you can. If they're out, ask your store what day they restock the shelves.

#1. Oh my God!!! You have to get in on this deal. Buy any 3 Essence of beauty products and get back $5 ECB. Now they have many products to choose from like lotions, bath gel, makeup applicators, hair brushes/combs, etc. It's obviously a better deal if you get the cheaper items and there are many for $1.99. So if you buy 3 of the cheaper products, you're only paying $1 for the 3 items after ECB

BUT WAIT!! IT GETS BETTER!!! They have the most darling Essence of Beauty gift bags on their 3-sided display that are only $1.49!!! They're the perfect size for books, bath products, etc and come with the tissue paper included. So you can buy 3 of the gift bags for $4.47 and get $5 back in ECB. THEY PAY YOU $.53 TO TAKE THREE GIFT BAGS!!!! There's a limit of 5 offers. I went to my 2 CVS stores that are across the street from each other today. One was already out, and I got the last 6 at the 2nd store. One of my favorite CVS employees told me she'd put some back for me when the shipment came in so I can get my other 3 sets of 3. These will probably be hard to find.

#2. CVS Pain Relief Rapid Release Gelcaps...24 ct box. $3.99 and get back $3.99 in ECB so FREE!!!! after ECB. Limit 5 (I've already bought these for the month...so run)

#3. Softsoap Spa body wash...$4.99 with $4.99 in ECB...so FREE after ECB!! There's only a limit of one for the month I think, but THIS wk you can get 5!!! So I've already bought my 5. There were quite a few of these in the store today. $1 off coupon in post #7 below!!! So you'll MAKE $1 buying these. Thanks rskmom!!!

#4. There are also lots of beauty deals going on. Nivea, cover girl, jergen/biore, neutrogena, garnier fructis, etc. Most of them are buy $X and get $Y in ECBs. So if you have manufacturer coupons it's a good time to buy things you might need or want.

I know one of the deals people are excited about is the Johnson's softcream, lotion, or wash. You get $2 ECB and you can maybe find coupons. These products are really nice.

Also the Nivea Natural Glow (tanner) or Jergens self-tanner are also giving pretty good ECBs so you may be interest in that.



So tomorrow, RUN and buy your gift bags (or small EOB items) your CVS generic tylenol product, and your softsoap spa body wash!!!

ONE MORE IMPORTANT THING!!! The quarterly ECB's started printing out on Apr 1. So make sure to check your receipt carefully even if you don't buy ECB items because you'll probably have some money on there. I had $

FOR THOSE OF YOU NEW TO CVS AND ROLLING ECB'S....PLEASE READ HOW IT WORKS.


For those of you that aren't familiar with CVS, you initially have to buy things with actual money but then certain items give you Extra Care Bucks (ECBs) that you use on your next trip to make purchases. If you're a smart CVSer, you can get bags full of things for very little money out of pocket once you get a supply of ECBs.

So remember....if you've not already been CVSing, you'll have to pay for the items the first time. You might want to only buy a few of the things that generate ECBs to start. Then use the ECBs you get when you go back again & again & again to keep buying more. I usually walk out of CVS with several bags and only spending a dollar or two.

Here's what I found:

Softsoap Spa Radiant Body Wash: As mentioned $4.99 w/$4.99 ECBs AND I had $1.50 coupon for one body wash from a previous Sunday circular.

Also there are coupons from previous Sunday circulars for many of the antiperspirants and deodorants that can be applied to those w/ECBs.

At first I was bummed because the regular shelves of the items I wanted were empty. Luckily I happened to run into two front-end w/wrap around side sale features at the front of the store by greeting cards. There is so much in the store that they were easy to overlook. I guess the store is trying to make it easier for me!

saw the thread aliadam. way to go. i went to cvs for the 1st time in a while yesterday. i earned $10 in ecb. i did good with coupons. i spent more than i wanted to, but i needed some things that weren't on the deals list. but, now that i got those, i will plan on spending as little money as possible at cvs. thanks again, aliadam for all you hard work. now i know why you feel the way you do about shopping there.

when you earn the ecbs, is there an amount of time before you can use them again?
