i know i have seen posted before about linens-n-things but, my sister sent me this email with more stores closing

If you have gift cards from the above list use them ASAP, they will not be valid for much longer.

Wow that stinks!! I love LnTs. I shop thier often, though I don't have a card. If Kohl's ever goes out, I'm sunk.

i think Kohl's is going to hang in there for quite awhile.

Circuit City? Wow. Had no idea. Levitz filed awhile ago, and they deserved to - they sold misrepresented junk and had rotten customer service.

Just a note to those holding Sharper Image gift cards: I was in Brookstone the other day - they carry a lot of the same things. AND, not only are they taking your gift card, but when you use the Sharper Image gift card at their store, they will give you a 25% discount! THAT's a deal, as they NEVER discount their items, except at clearance.

The reason I mentioned LNT a few weeks ago was directly what I heard on our radio station. Yes, maybe the company will allow you to use gift cards, but then again, they may not...so why risk it. Also, I got concerned because people were still buying things online. Why risk that? LNT can take your $ and you may never see the item. Sure, you could sue them....get in line...employees and suppliers first. So, I think caution is key, if a store is going bankrupt (or hints at it), I wouldn't shop online and I would use up my gift cards pronto just to be safe. The only reason Sharper Image allowed gift card use with restrictions was becasue of pressure from the Attorney General...so like I said, why risk it.
