I got that coupon (30% off from May 8th - 11th) in the mail. I haven't shopped in awhile but my children need some nicer clothes for the summer.

I've read the past threads. Are there any shopping strategies specific to Gymboree? Do they always issue Gymbucks on sales like this?

P.S. I will be going to one of their stores not shopping online.

If you plan on shopping instore, make sure you take a list with you so you don't over buy. I like to go to gymboree.com to see whats on sale, then fill up the cart to get a general idea of how much I'llspend. There are no gymbucks sales going on right now, I'll let you know as soon as I hear a date for the next one. DO NOT buy full price items. Only buy items that are 30%-40% or more off. Even 20% is still too high priced for me. And don't forget your coupon!

Circle of Friends - COF - will begin May 8th to the 11th - its 30% off and the generic code is CFCIRCLE. You do need a coupon in hand to use it in the store. Hopefully they will do the same as last year and email out the printable coupons.

Camp Deals to start after COF is over. The deals should be tanks and shorts that were $12.50 marked down to $8.

Any recent clearance markdowns?

I was in the store a few weekends ago and the clearance was kind of high for me. If it hasn't been markeddown again, then it is not worth the gas for me to go for COF.

Thank you for your information. I went today and bought some summer items and even bought some tops to be saved for September.

I went right to the clearance section first. It was interesting because many woman asked after they already had been shopping if the clearance items were included in the 30% off, by then their kids were getting cranky or they looked pressed for time.

I thought of your advice when I started to slip into a "buying trance" and put back the full price items I had picked up.
