I got another box of Whitmans for $1.99 after coupon, a bag of Hershey's Bliss for $1.99, the Adidas deodrant (free w/coupon and then $4.99 ECB) and the Venus razor (had $4 coupon and got $5.99 ECB) so in my next transaction I got (3) 12 pks of Diet Pepsi for ONE PENNY!!!
DH drinks a lot of Diet Pepsi and takes it to work too so I am always trying to get a good deal on it.

I'm new to working the CVS deals, so I have what may be a dumb question to most of you. Once I've earned my ECBs, do I have to tell the cashier that I want to use them when I go in next time, or does it just automatically deduct from your bill? Forgive me, like I said, I'm new to this!

No, you need to hand them to the cashier. So make sure you keep them!! I just found a $20 one that expired in January the other day so watch the expiration dates too. So after the cashier rings up your purchase, then give them any X off Y coupons (like they frequently have $3/$10 CVS product), then give them any manufacturer coupons you have, then last, hand them your ECBs to pay whatever is left.

One word of caution if you're new and don't know how they work...DON'T give them an ECB that is more than your balance or really close as you don't get back the extra. So for instance if you owe $2 and you give them a $5 ECB, you just lose the extra $3. Hope that makes sense!!

That did help aliadam, thanks! One more question for you then. When I signed up online and got my card, I received a welcome email saying blah blah. But the one thing that caught my eye was that it said I didn't need to have the actual CVS coupons, that it would automatically register. Is that true for everything, except the $3/10 kind of thing? Sorry to bother again, I just want to make sure I can learn to work this like all of you do!

Hmmm....I'd have to see the actual email. If you want me to see it, I can PM you my email address and you can forward it to me. I don't really know what that's referring to. I always have to manually give them all my coupons.

The only thing I can that is a possibility is the quarterly rewards. Once each quarter (the last was Apr 1) you get back a small percentage of the money you spend. Can't remember exactly but it's 1% or maybe 2%, PLUS you get back $1 for every 2 prescriptions you have filled there. Now THAT stuff all registers automatically as long as you scan your card.
