I have never been a big Walgreen's shopper because I hated mailing in the receipts to get my rebate. But recently they've changed two things which make it MUCH simpler, so I think I may start trying to "Walgreen's" like I currently "CVS"!!

For one thing, they're now giving RR (register rewards) on some items which are similar to ECBs. They print off on the cash register at the end of your purchase if you purchase certain items. So you can then use the money on your next trip. Be advised though, that you CANNOT roll them over to use on the same item. For instance if you do the P & G deal and get a RR cpn, you cannot use that cpn to do a second P & G deal, but have to use it on other items.

Secondly, for those items that require a mail in rebate, they now allow you to do it all ONLINE!!!! Much simpler I think. Here's the link to do them online.
Walgreens | Store Online |EasySaver Catalog

I've already found some great deals for this wk, and will add others as I find them.

REGISTER REWARDS DEAL:

Proctor & Gamble has a great RR deal this wk!!

Buy any 3 items, get $4 RR -- Buy any 4, get $6 RR -- Buy 5 to 8, get $10 RR -- Buy 9 or more, get $20 RR

#1. Crest Pro Health toothpaste 2/$5. Buy 9 of them, use the cpn on pg 22 of the Easy Saver booklet which will take $3/each 2 (or you can buy 10 so you have an even number for the ES cpn), then use any Crest cpns you've received in recent P & G coupon fliers. So you pay very little for the toothpaste (depends on how many cpns you have) and then get back $20 in register rewards!!! So you would actually MAKE MONEY!!!

#2. If you don't want 9 or 10 tubes of toothpaste, there are other items you can buy that apply towards the buy 9 items, get $20 RR...such as 3/$10 old spice, secret, gillette antiperspirant or old spice or zest body wash. So if you bought 9 of those items it would cost you $30 (or less is you have cpns), but you would get back $20 in RR.

OR YOU CAN MIX & MATCH THE TWO DEALS...JUST MAKE SURE YOU HAVE 9 OF THE ITEMS TOTAL!!

Other great RR deals!!
#1. They have Mr. Clean 2pg magic eraser 2/$5, or the 28 oz cleaner or 27/35 ct wipes $25. Buy 9 (for $22.50) and get $20 in RR!!!!! (I think anyway). Or get Cascade powder or gel 45 oz, or 12 pk action pacs 2/$5...same deal. And you can mix & match the cascade and Mr. Clean products.

$2. Venus Embrace/Gillette Fusion Phenom manual or Power razors, $9.99, get $6 in RR, and there's a $4 off cpn in the paper...so it's FREE.

Thanks for doing the homework for me! We don't have coupons in the paper, but the combinations you worked out are great deals even without coupons.

I do the Walgreens rebate program regularly...I agree that the mail in program can be a pain, but its worth it if you have a lot of $, because they give you an extra 10%, you can't get the 10% on the online progrm, so if I spend over a threshold, I mail it in, if I don't spend that much, I do it online.

I didn't know you couldn't get the extra 10% online. I knew you got it if you reloaded your Walgreen's gift card, so I just assumed you could. Well drat on that!!

Also, the Easy Saver Coupon for the toothpaste will take off the correct amount if you buy 9...

I haven't posted very much on mommysavers but this Walgreens P&G deal is great!

1st run - Crest Deal:
nine crests including one coupon in the easysaver book for $3 off 2.
total: 20.74 and I got $20 in register rewards.
2nd run - Mr. Clean Deal:
Mr. Clean Multi-Purpose wipes clearanced for 1.79 each x 9.
total: 17.00 and I got $20 in register rewards - free product plus $3 overage.
3rd run - Mix and Match P&G:
5 Mr. Clean Clearance wipes - 1.79 each (one coupon for .50 off)
1 Pantene 5.99
1 Febreeze Oil Warmer Kit - 6.99 plus I had a $5 coupon - so only 1.99
2 Covergirl products - nail polish 3.99 and lipstick 5.49 - this is b1g1/2off.
total: 25.50 and I got $20 in register rewards.

I think I'll go back for the cascade deal too and get more register rewards!!
I always get the 9 products for the most register rewards back. The product that I don't use I'll donate.
Thanks P&G!

Ok - so this answers one of my questions. We CAN use Manufacturer coupons... good. What about the Easy Saver Coupons. Can we print those off or do they have a booklet in the stores or something? How can I get this?

I've been hearing you guys talk about how great the deals are at Walgreens but am still so confused by it all that I haven't tried it. BUT - I might have to try it now.

How are the prices? Like if I go in for the Crest deal, are they comparible to Wal Mart prices? Or do they mark it up to make their money back.

And how did you know how much Register Rewards you get? How do you plan your trips there? Do you get the coupons first and then decide what to buy???

I'm Still so confused, but would LOVE to start shopping there more.

Thanks!

crest pro health toothpaste is on sale for 2/5.00
buy 9 at 2.50=22.50
Then hand the cashier ONE coupon from the EASY SAVER Coupon BOOKLET which is 3.00/2 So times 9= 13.50
So 22.50-13.50=9.00 You now will receive TWO register rewards $10 off your next purchase. So a total of 20.00
Now if you have maunfacturer crest pro health coupons (1.00/2 or .50/2) it will lower your OUT OF POCKET EXPENSE.

If you have anymore ?'s I'll be sure to help. I live at walgreens. Former employee

The EASY SAVER BOOKLET (found in stores right by their ad or online to print the coupon)
