Grocery Forum – Coming Soon!

We would like to get a Grocery Bargains forum started at Mommysavers… but we need YOUR help! The forum’s purpose will be to bring you the inside scoop on which grocery deals are the hottest, which manufacturers’ coupons can be combined with in-store deals which recipes go well with those bargains, plus other great tips for getting the most for your money at the store.

In order for this to be a success, we’ll need volunteers to post deals for the stores in your area. We’re especially interested in finding volunteers for the stores listed below. If you’re interested in being assigned to a store, let me know via PM. Once we get at least 10 stores covered, we’ll start the new forum. If you have over 500 posts, you can also apply to be a moderator. Here’s a link to the application

The duties of the volunteers within this forum will be:
Post deals from their assigned store at least once a week
Be informed of weekly in-store sales
Give insider shopping information
Post information about at least 5-10 in-store deals and the coupons needed to get them
Answer questions from members about in-store deals
Post recipes or link to recipes that go well with grocery bargains of the week (optional)
Post menu plans (optional)

Volunteer Privileges
By volunteering, we’ll add you to a new usergroup we’re creating. You’ll get to create a custom username as your title as well as have more storage for PMs in your inbox.

I have another regional store to suggest - Giant Eagle/Martins. I'm not sure how many people shop there, but that's all we have here. Well, we do have a Food Lion, but Martins' is so much better with their deals.

We do have a couple volunteers for Giant Eagle.

Cub and Rainbow are the grocery stores in the "twin cities".

I still need some volunteers for Safeway and Albertson's. Does anyone shop there?

Can you add Vons to that list. I live in San Diego and that is where I do most of my grocery shopping. What a fantastic idea to do this. Thank you!

If you would like to volunteer to help post weekly deals, apply to be a Mommysavers "Deal Detective." It's listed under "Group Memberships" in your UserCP. By volunteering, you'll get to create a custom username for yourself and also gain access to a private "Deal Detectives" forum. In order to be accepted, you'll need to commit to post at least 5-10 deals on your selected store each week. I hope to see some of you apply!
