i have a coupon for a $30 gc for Tom Thumb with a transferred prescription. i currently have one at cvs. i love cvs, but i could really use the gift card for groceries. how do i go about transferring my prescription? do i need to call Tom Thumb or CVS? will they be mad at me?

thanks in advance!

All you have to do, usually is bring in your Rx from CVS to the new store and they will do the rest. To be honest, I have transfered Rx just for the gift card too. I see nothing wrong with it. Good luck!!!

I do this all of the time between CVS, Rite Aide and occasionally Weis or Target. Just take the bottle from your prescription to the new pharmacy with your coupon and they'll do all of the work for you.

Me too!

I also see nothing wrong with transferring around my kids fluoride prescription or dh's heartburn meds. - Here is an instance where I can't see not using this free money
I never think twice about it - if the rx is soon to be refilled and I get an offer for a free gc with transfer. - that is between 10 and $30.00 I save that week!
Also alot of places will match competitors offers - I know CVS does !

I transfer our prescriptions all the time! I usually do it between Meijer, Target & Walgreens. I just transferred one today and I usually call the pharmacy that I want taking the prescription. I figure they are getting my business (I usually pick-up things @ the store where the scrip is filled) and they are giving me a gc. It all evens out

I haven't done this before, but was wondering about it, too. I have a coupon to get $25 to transfer. I think I will. Thanks!

Used to do this all the time, but CVS costs me more than Target, so I keep my stuff there now. I do use the new prescription coupons, I just filled two for the kids yesterday and got $20 in GC to Target.

I found out by transferring that Target is way cheaper than Walgreens, but I LOVE my 24 hour availability. But saving comes first. I just called Target and they took info over the phone and when I picked up I gave them the coupon and they gave me the gift card, I just got one for CVS so I will be transfering one there soon.

some places have limits on how long in between you can transfer and get a gift card??? I have only done one so maybe someone else can address this. I juts have to make sure if that happens I leave them at the cheapest place to get the meds.
