----What exactly is a Register Rewards (RR)?
They are catalinas that print up after your qualifying purchases. The RR can be used like cash toward future purchases.

REMEMBER THESE EXPIRE...

----Can I use manufacturer coupons with a RR/Catalina?
The register considers the RR a manf coupon. If you have coupons for every product you are buying, the RR will beep. So you'll need to throw in another item. Look for cheap stuff in the clearance section or get a pack of .30 gum. Or look for the individual pencils.

----Will more than one register rewards print out on the same transaction (buy 2 different products that each have a register reward)?
If you buy two (or more) DIFFERENT register rewards items in one transaction, one reward each will print. However, if you buy two of the SAME item, only one RR will print. Best to do separate transactions.

----You can NOT use a RR generated from product C and buy another of product C because another RR will not print.

----If you RR/Catalina did not print:
You can call 1-888-8coupon, option 3
You can use the form VIA ONLINE: Contact | Catalina Marketing
The store will give you a form to fill out and mail in to catalina. (It's so much easier to do this then argue with the cashiers/managers)

THIS IS DIRECTLY FROM MY REGISTER REWARD EXCLUSIONS ON THE REGISTER REWARDS:
PRESCRIPTIONS AND ITEMS PROHIBITED BY LAW. ALSO EXCLUDES TOBACCO, ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES, SALES TAX, LOTTERY TICKETS, MONEY ORDERS/TRANSFERS, DAIRY, PRESCRIPTION SAVINGS CLUB MEMBERSHIP, HEALTH CARE SERVICES AND GIFT/PHONE/PREPAID CARDS. COUPON VALUE CAN NOT EXCEED PURCHASE AMOUNT. REGISTER REWARDS MUST BE FORFEITED IF QUALIFYING MERCHANDISE IS RETURNED. CUSTOMER PAYS ANY SALES TAX.

The total number of manuf. coupons and RR cannot exceed the total number of items purchased. For example, if you purchase 5 items and have a manufacturer coupon for each item and a RR, you will have to purchase a 6th item. These are usually called "fillers" in the Walgreens lingo.

Edit - I see you have this already

I have a question... I have looked through many threads but don't see it asked anywhere. Sorry if this is a repeat!

Can you use a Walgreens' store coupon along with a manufacturer's coupon for the same item? I know some stores stack, but I'm not sure about Walgreens...

Most of the time - if it is right then and there - the manager will issue you a store credit card for the price of the RR if it was a "valid" purchase. If it didn't print due to system issues like it's not set up in the system, they should have forms for you to fill out and mail in to get your reward. =]

PS: If a manager gives you a hard time - PLEASE call 1-800-Walgreens - and make a complaint. Calling the district office directly can help - however calling the 800 number goes more "on record" in the even there are major issues at the store because NO manager should argue with you - even if you are wrong - they should be respectful. =]

Absolutely - the only catch to it is that if the cashier is properly trained - say the item is on sale for $.75 WITH the walgreens coupon, and you have a MC for $1 off - they will adjust it for just the $.75. But you can most definately use them!

Note my username....(wink wink). I didn't get it because I flip burgers..lol.
about the quote above: This is true but not for the reasoning you think. It isn't about duplicate items -You can not do two deals that are from the same manufacturer (say a colgate toothbrush deal for $2 rr and one for a $1 rr on Colgate toothpaste) in the same transaction. You will only receive ONE of the rr's offers back. So you have to watch those manufacturers too.

and about the fact you can't use a RR from colgate on another colgate deal to receive a RR back. This is very true. That is when you have to be really organized and use another manufacturers RR toward the colgate item to get the colgate RR. They have been alittle sneaky recently by putting the name of their sub companies on those RR's. I've gotten so I write on the RR themselves what I bought to receive it. Pert may not say P&G..it could say hammerson or whatever. But if you used it toward another P&G RR eligible item you won't get the RR.
So it pays to know the sub manufacturers too.

It seems really complicated but it's really not and if for some chance you don't get back what your supposed to let the cashier know. They will take care of it.
