We went Friday night to look for kids' costumes and scored big! Target took last year's leftover costumes to Goodwill. We got Mr. Incredible for $4.99 new with tags and a ninja for $2.99 new with tags. They also had several others.

DS #1 picked up a black grad gown and some perfect Harry Potter glasses, total: $2.50

DD picked up an old lady outfit for less than $5

Less than $20 for 4 costumes, 2 of which were brand new. Can't get any better than that!

Great tip, Susie. I believe that they hold onto costumes all year and wait until now to put them out. So, it's not only a great time to stock up on Halloween costumes but also get some fun things for dress-up play.

We hit Goodwill last night too! I got a Disney Store Winnie the Pooh pumpkin costume for DD#3 (6-12m) and one for later (minus the pumpkin part) in 3T both for $6.98 and a cute pig costume 2T for 4.98. The bigger ones can either be for costumes later or just for dress up. We also got items for a mime costume for DD#1 and a "queen" dress for DD#2 - now we just need a crown and sceptor and white makeup.

I also totally scored by getting a Fisher Price Laugh and Learn Home for $6.98 (retails for $80!!!!) It just needs some soap and water and I ordered the missing parts like shapes and balls and envelopes for the mailbox at mattel.com for $4.98. It'll make a great Christmas present (if I can exert enough self control and not break it out before then )
