OK, my knowledgable friends! I am always super impressed with your knowledge of good sales! I finally went to my Target yesterday (I held off for so long!!!) and they still had 4 rows of Christmas goods!!! I got 2 Thomas Trains for $1 and some huge ziploc storage bags and trash bags for $1 and some Christmas CD's for $2.50 etc. Since they had so much stuff left, I was wondering when it will go 90%? (It was mostly Christmas cards but I'd buy for a few years at 90% off!) I remember reading a post on here concerning that but I have searched and searched and can't find it. Does anyone know when Target and Walmart go 90% off???

Thank you girls for all of the wonderful shopping advice! I rarely post but daily read your fabulous notes. Thank you for making this mom's life a little brighter and easier!!

I have it written on my calender that it was Jan. 6th last year for Target. I would just call Friday and Saturday morning and ask them.

I asked and they told me it is the when the merchadise stock hits a certain level. Ours was down to a couple of rows, so I am figuring any day now. I want the toys to go 75% off....lol

Right after Christmas our Target was already picked over, and at that point the deals were not fantastic yet. DH picked up some wrapping paper at Walmart for .22/roll. I like Walmart but it so crowded that with the kids I avoid it. I would love to get one of those inflatable yard snowglobes, DH said they were quite cheap even a week ago.

one of our targets was at 75% off right after new years the one on the other side of town was 30% toys and 50% holiday.. ours don't go to 90% anymore they take the stuff to the salvation army store...our walmart has crappy clearance but there is one that is 20 miles the other direction from my home and you can find good clearance there because it is a small town and a very small walmart...

A woman posted on another board saying her Target went 90% off this afternoon! (she's in Michigan)

My mother just called me and confirmed that her target is also now at 90% off in Texas!

Dont go to the obvious stores, hit up Walgreens, CVS, Hallmark...the smaller stores. Youll probably get lucky. Usually by the time Target & Walmart go up to 90% all thats left are cards and some broken candy.

Target here in So. Cal. went 90% off this morning (Thurs). They had some 7.5 foot pre lit trees for 19.99, rolls of wrap for .19 tissue and gift bags for .19 and I printed off the store coupons and got bags of cheese for .50 each!
Heres the link
