i sorta get it but there are some women who swear by cvs..

heres what i dont get. like this week - my girlfriend said the "novars (maalox and other brands) are a "potential money maker" and this is what i dont get. money maker? how?

i mean, you have to spend 10 to get 10 back. there's no point in using coupons because then you havent spent 10 dollars right? or is that where im going wrong?

i always assumed that all the "spend 10 get 5 extra care bucks" meant that you shouldnt use coupons for that product cause you want to get to 10bucks, not keep deducting!

someone help me figure this out!

Actually, as long as you have $10 worth of the products that qualify, you can use as many coupons as apply and they won't count it against you. So, for example, if you buy $10 worth of the stomach aids and use $3 worth of coupons, you end up making money on the transaction. What's even better is when the manufacturer offers a rebate.

Just an FYI. I've only been doing CVS since October and I don't remember anyone else saying that they'd had any problems, but I have found that sometimes the ECB bucks don't print up at the register but will be in my online account. In that case I just print them up. I did notice recently though that one of the ECB-eligible items never showed up in my account, so I'm trying to be more careful now about keeping track. If it happens again, I might have to contact CVS about it.

You make money whenever you use coupons on the free items because they just look at the price you paid, not the coupons. Once you have some Extra Bucks you can use those with coupons and not really spend much out of pocket, but still receive more extra bucks. I end up getting tons of stuff for free this way. Especially when they have $5 off $20 coupons in our paper. If you give them these first when your purchase and then the other coupons and Extra Bucks you can really save a lot.

If you have problems they are really nice when you call. They will even reset expired Extra Bucks.
