I found a 360 sheet paper pack at Costco for $13.49. It is My Mind's Eye with 180 sheets being from their Magnolia line and 180 sheets from the Wild Asparagus line. Three sheets each of 120 prints/solids. It is thinner than the regular My Mind's Eye paper and is single-sided, unlike the regular My Mind's Eye paper. It is like two Provo craft slabs in one pack. The packs are more than you could use by yourself. The slabs could be broken up for several gifts.
I also bought 72 sheets of handmade paper at Costco for $15.99. It comes out to $.22 a sheet. It is made by Memory Star with 6 sheets each of 12 designs. They could be broken up to make several gifts.
Also, I have gotten incredible buys on scrapbooking stuff on ebay searching "lot". I have purchased things that other people have bought and then not used. (Who buys things they don't use anyway?) For just two examples, I bought 42 completely unused alphabets and 118 partially used (barely used for most of them) alphabets for $29 including shipping! (Now, I suppose I HAVE purchased some alphabets I will never use.) I also bought a lot of baby and girl's scrapbooking stuff for $24.50 that had a retail value of approximately $180-$200.
Try ebay for scrapbooking things that others have bought and then never used and then sell them at a fraction of retail price. The best buys I have gotten are from individuals, not from a seller who has a business on ebay. Be prepared for some of the lots to have partially used stuff (that could not be used as gifts and only for personal use.)
Scrapbooking stuff at bargain prices is my latest find.
