I used to live near a store called Gabes or Gabriel Brothers...It was like a run down Marshals...but about half the price! They are in Pa, WV, and MD....the nearest is over an hour away!

There is a mall near me that has Kohls and TCP and a great Sears...love that Mall for those 3 stores! But Honestly I don't spend too much $ when I go!

For groceries, Publix hands down. The stores are always clean, well stocked. The employees are helpful & nice because they are treated well by their employer. Their bakery can't be beat.

On the other hand they can be a bit more expensive on things. Since I'm on a budget I shop the sales for all the area stores, they are all within a stones throw of each other.

Yeah, If I am shopping for the Joy of Shopping I want to buy quality
Clothing: Eddie Bauer (I buy off the 60-70% clearance racks)
Food: Trader Joes (I like the variety)

I like many privately owned shops. I think it is great to support the local busnisses in your community
