I just received an email from Big Lots and one thing that looked like a great deal was the baby food. It said Gerber traditional or organic, 2.5oz and 4oz jars. The sale starts 9-16 thru 9-22.

Thanks for the heads up on this. DD won't be ready to start solids for a couple of months, but I wouldn't mind stocking up on the Gerber organic jars if my Big Lots has them this week.

Thanks so much! My 2 year old just had palate surgery and baby food is about all he can eat. He goes through 6 or 7 jars a meal. Add that to the nutritional drinks that he has and it is more expensive to feed him than my other 5 combined!

Could you add rice cereal to it like when he was little? For DS we just poured the flakes right into the baby food, it also helped to thicken it up a little bit. Rice cereal had lots of good vitamins in it so he might be able to get some of what he needs that way and not have to drink so many nutritional drinks each day. HTH
