target does not do price adjustments you have to return the item and buy it again. they will let you rebuy it at there service counter if you push a little. walmart has done price adjustments for me up to 30 days after don't know what there exact policy is but they did not even hesitate when i asked.

I have never done a price adjustment but my dh is always telling me to do it. I guess I just never knew what to do or something like that.

Say I buy a shirt at JC Penney's and 2 weeks later it goes on sale, what do you do, bring the shirt & receipt back to the store and they give you the difference back?

Maybe I just got lucky but I have done two price adjustments at Target in the last week. Two things that I had bought last week went on sale so I just gave them my receipt and they gave me cash for the difference.

Heck I'm on a mission now! I'm going through ads to see if there is anything I can save on!!
Do I have to bring the product with me or just my receipt? And what do I just go to the register (or customer service desk) and state that I want to do a price adjustment?

Usually you dont have to bring the item just the receipt and the ad with the lower price. Bestbuy does it that way at least and they will price match anyones ad including their online only ads. I also got an item there that was cheaper at Circuit city, but circuit city also had a mail rebate as well. Bestbuy matched the Circuit city price after all rebates. I would have been happy with the in store price but was ecstatic when I got the rebated price and didnt have to do any rebates!

I bought a dress for a wedding at Lord and Taylor origninaly $325 for $109. I wasn't sure if I really liked it so went back a week later to see if they had anything new. The exact same dress was marked down to $31 (now I really liked it). I picked it up and took the first one back for a full cash refund!

Hi, I just did a price adjustment at Target last week, and I asked about the policy at the service desk. She said their policy is that they do a price adjustment during the week the item is on sale, for any item you purchased in the last 2 weeks, but you need to do the adjustment the week of the sale. If BRENSMOM did not get an adjustment, she got a bad cashier.

One thing I have noticed is that cashiers don't always know the policies, not their fault, they just haven't been trained correctly.

There is always the fine print, though...it is up to each store manager's discretion.

Got $3.20 yesterday at Carters - I went there for a exchange for a size, but the price had come down, so returned and bought the same thing.

Got back $200 for the entertainment center that we bought. I also make use of price-match policy a lot.

Hello all! I'm new!
Well, I work at Walgreens, and our policy (at least in our region) is not to do price adjustments. Butttt...you can return items and then re-purchase them and no one says anything.
