A price adjustment is when you buy something, and a week later it goes on sale. You can take back your receipt and get the sale price diffrence refunded to you.

Anyone know who has a great PA policy? List them here!

Ann Taylor Loft PA Days are 15 days from purchase. They have amazing end of season sales. I purchased a suit for $6 dollars. They also will honor the website coupons even though it says online only.

If something goes on sale past the official price adjustment time, I will just re-buy the item at the sale price, and return it with the first, full-price receipt, so long as it is within their return policy timeframe. I figure that if I buy something and can return it within 90 days (most common return policy I see), then why should it matter to them that it is the IDENTICAL ITEM that I just happened to purchase twice? It is still in brand new, tagged condition ready to go right back on the shelf.

I am very honest, and don't want to do anything underhanded, so please share if you don't think this is legit. And these are only big, national stores like Walmart or Target, not boutiques or small mom and pop stores.

I've heard of alot of people doing this also. I hear about it mostly on the gymboree boards. In extreme circumstances, Gymboree gets wise to these people that do excessive amounts of returns and has actually started refusing to refund certain people they feel are taking advantage of the system.

Michaels and Hobby Lobby will do a price adjustment within a week(I think that's the length they told me).

HyVee doesn't (but they said they will just this one time). They told me they put things on sale to bring people back in - not to refund what has already been purchased. I bought my turkey on Monday and Tuesday it was 60 cents cheaper a pound. 60 cents a pound on a 9 pound turkey is quite a bit.

Old Navy does within 14 days (even though I had one cashier tell me 13) A lot of the time if I buy a lot there and then happen to go back within 2 weeks I'l just ask the cashier to check my receipt. They just scan it so it's no big deal to them. I usually use their card so if there is an adjustment it just goes right back on to my card when they scan it.
