My husband wanted us at WalMart this morning at 4:30 a.m. I said he could go without me. We slept in until 7:30. We arrived at WalMart at about 10 a.m. Bought the last DVD player for $30.00 (ours died this past week) and a couple of memory cards for $12.00. One for us, one to give to my niece, and one we were picking up for a friend. We picked up a couple more items but that was it from their ad.
We then came home.

I did my Black Friday shopping online this year. I already had much of my shopping done from all the Amazon toy deals I found here! However, I did buy the Kodak digital camera from WalMart for my stepdaughter, the coveted Moon Sand for my 9 yr old, and got some great deals for work clothes online at Kohls.
All in all, I didn't really think the Black Friday deals were that spectacular this year! I was kind of disappointed. Did anyone else think this too?

My Mil and I left the house at 9pm last night and went up to some outlet malls that were an hour away, the 1st 500 people there got a $15 gift card and we both got one and bought a george forman for Dh's grandmother, it was kinda a waste of time!
Then we went real shopping

I left the house at 5:30 this morning. My MIL and I hit Target first. Parking was a nightmare and the inside of the store was crazy. I knew better than to get a cart, so our arms were falling off but we got what we wanted and then hit TRU. Stood in line for over 30 minutes, but again, got what we wanted.
Then, we hit Kohls. She got some very nice clothes for my hubby for a good deal. Then, we went to JcPenny's, Circuit City and Office Depot. I got my hubby's flash drive and that was the one thing that I wanted. She was able to get all of her shopping done for my family while she was in town.
She bought me Christmas dishes at JcPenney's. I can't believe it. I have wanted Christmas dishes for so long. It was so wonderful and such a blessing.
I don't think the deals were all that great today. I still saw some large TV's sitting close to the door at 11 AM which surprised me. But, they weren't all that great of a deal, I guess. There are a few things that I didn't get, but it is OK. I had a lot of fun. We just put our patient hat on and knew that we would be standing in line and enjoyed ourselves.

We hit a couple stores- we (me and the girls) hit Taregt first- it was not too bad- found a spot fairly quick- not too many rude people (that gets me the most)- I got a dvd player for youngest (she has a tv with a dvd player and the dvd player recently quit working) for $25 (saved about $15), got a dvd for the family- was not able to get the one I really wnated to get. We then hit Fashion Bug for my SIL's present- got 45% off a shirt for her and got my oldest 2 shirts for $1.28- not too shabby. Then I hit Micheals for chocolate discs- on sale for $1.99 and had the 25% off coupon.
I mainly dealt with grumpy/rude people at Target but it was not that bad!

Left home at 3:45 - Went to Kohls (got in line fairly early so it wasn't bad) and JCPennys. Came home to pick up my mom and sister then headed to walmart at 5. Got what we wanted there - lines were fine there too. Then we headed to Younkers(Longest line so far - my mom even volunteered to help the cashier bag to help the line go faster). Headed to Menards at 6am - ZOO, ZOO, ZOO - but got everything on the list. but had to make a trip home to unload - the car was full. That's where we ran out of luck. By the time we unloaded the stuff, hit McD for a bit to eat and headed back to the stores around 7:30, the lines were SOOOO long at ShopKo, and TRU(also OUT of everything on our lists). Didn't buy anything there.
I guess you have to be there when the store opens to get the stuff in the add. And what they have left, you'd have to wait forever in line for. The lines went around the store. To me - nothing on my list was worth that wait.
We were home by 9am. It's nice living 3 miles from the chaos.

Met my mom, my aunt and two of my cousins for coffee at starbucks at 9. (SLept in, obviously, as we had only really planned on sitting and watching people...) but leave it to my aunt to actually want to shop. I'm not complaining. We first went to conn's to see their mp3 players (for mom), went to circuit city, where I got 18 DVDs for $129. (Awesome deal on average.) Decent and new movies like 300, Knocked up, DaVinci Code, etc....Left there, went to walmart, got two HUGE bones for my dogs for christmas and some hotwheels (10 for 5) for my nephew to play with here. Went to the mall, where we went to bedbath and beyond, I got two new stockings for DH and I, red nice velvet with our initials on it, very pretty. GOt a new two cup measuring cup, and an over the door hook for the bathroom (had a gift card to bb&b so all free). Went to target, got two movies for myself. So, in total, I got 20 movies, two big bones, two stockings, a few things for the house, for less than $175. Can't say that's a bad day....and we had a good time together. Took our time, was home by 330. Oh yeah, and parking and the crowds were just a bit worse than usual...helps to have missed the early birds.

I didn't get out, I got some items online.
My dh is need desperate need of jeans and sweaters. These aren't for Christmas but we got them because of the deal. I got him 2 pairs of jeans. Orig. $29 for $14.75. I also got him 2 sweaters. Orig. $24 for $15. That was my Old Navy stop.
Then this evening I just got done shopping The Children's Place online. I picked up 4 pairs of leggings for my dd's stockings. They are on sale for $2.79/PR. and I picked up my dh's nephew a shirt from there. I got him a nice dress up polo for $7. His niece wears long skirts due to their religion. So I'm gonna make her a nice skirt with a matching headband.
That's it for us!

I braved Ross, World Market and Target at 2. NEVER AGAIN! The messy stores and crowds annoyed me. I knew better but wanted to try anyway. Foolish me.

I went everywhere! Target, Walmart, Best Buy, Menard's, JcPenny, Macy's, Old Navy, Herberger's, The Children's Place, Toys R Us, etc. Two malls and lots of stand alone stores. Honestly, I didn't think the crowds were too bad. It was absolutely DEAD at Walmart at 6:45 am. I couldn't believe it, there are more people there on a normal Monday night. I spent tons of money but saved a bunch on the things I wanted anyway. 24 packs of AA batteries for $4, trampoline with enclosure for $194, DVD player for $15, V-Tech Nitro for $25, tall black leather boots for $30..... I could go on and on. I had lots of fun. I shopped from 6:00 am to 3:30 pm. Then we hit happy hour tonight!
