Yesterday, all the stores anticipated the remdemption of gift cards to help boost thier sales. Did you get any cards?? Were you able to spend them?

I got $20 for Bath & Body Works
DD got $100 Simon malls, $50 DSW shoe store, $20 Borders and $20 Best Buy
DS got $20 Best Buy, $20 Border, and $40 itunes
DH got $25 Best Buy.

We plan to use them as "rewards" that when we finish our chores/projects over the next wk we'll go shopping to spend them.

We got a lot of gift cards. We are trying to finish off the basement and every time someone asked what we wanted I said Gift Cards!! I got $400 worth good for Zellers, Home Outfitters and the Bay. I hope to use it for storage systems and blinds for the basement. DH got $400 worth good at RONA a building supply store so that will go towards drywall and other building materials we'll need.

I was so lucky to get gift cards this year! I scored about 3-4 Target cards (I'm saving those for 90% off, or when I buy stuff for other people = cash). I also got a couple of Borders cards (love books & coffee!), Starbucks (more coffee!) and JCPenney. Do you know if you can use a JCPenney gift card for on-line or catalog purchases?

I haven't had a chance to clean the receipts out of my wallet, so I don't have room yet. For now, I have them all together in a gift box.

I got $130 in gc to Starbucks
Dh got $100 gc to Lowes
and i got a $50 gc to Sephora.....(i'm not sure what i am going to get there)

I spent five of the starbucks and half of the lowes.

Hello, This is for Tape Queen.....About the JCpenney gift cards. Did you know that you can use your JC penney credit card and gift cards at CVS pharmacy?? I use mine there often. You can buy your medicines, anything in the store INCLUDING mastercard and visa, resturant gift cards. I was going on a trip and needed a $100 mastercard in case of a small emergency and I took my JCP card there and bought one. They charge you $4.95 to activate it but it is worth it. You can also buy any of the gift cards with it. I find great deals with CVS. I bought last week 5 cases of 24 bottles of water each for 1.99. That is oalmost 125 (16.9 oz) bottles of water for less than $10. They have great clearances. I bought 10 14.99 backpacks and lunch bag sets for $2 each or less for my neices and nephews Christmas. I also bought 250.00 worth or hair brushes, hairbows, head bands, hair jewelry for $16. If I had a JCPenny gift card I would be using it at CVS.

I still have gift cards from last Christmas to spend!!

My DH got a 250.00 gc to Lowe's which we used on Saturday to buy a new ceiling fan for our room and 6 gallons of different colored paint for all 3 of the kids rooms.
He also got 230.00 for Dick's sporting goods, which he hasn't used yet.
My DD's got alot of giftcards this year, they haven't used any of them yet though.
