Target Clearance?

Does anyone know the schedule for when Target marks their Christmas stuff to 75% off and then 90% off? TIA.

I was talking to my mom about this last night. We are thinking that the big discount happens the Sunday after New Years. I am not too sure though, I hope someone else has this info!

BTW- I was at our local Target last night and honestly everything was starting to look "picked over" already!

I agree. I went to Target yesterday hoping to pick up some really good stuff 50% off.... and it was BADLY picked over. I think there was maybe 10 bags of candy left. no household stuff. but there was a TON of wrapping paper. but im good on that (figures)
there probably wont be much left by the time it gets to 75% or 90% off.

The Targets near me don't do their markdowns on the same day necessarily. Some stores will stay at 50% off longer it seems, probably if things are selling really well. Some will go to 75% or 90% off before others. It really just depends on the store. Makes things a little trickier as a shopper. The easiest thing for me to do is just call. I call first thing in the morning and ask...

The very loose, rule of thumb that seems to apply near me is this:

50% off day after holiday for 3 days
75% off 4th day after holiday for 3 days
90% off 7th day after holiday for 1-2 days.

All the stores near me are at 50% off right now, and some have more things than others, it just depends. I think some stores are much better at keeping it organized than others too.

i think the seasonal looks picked over and scarce because they havent condensed it for the 75% off sale.....by the time its 8:01 am for the first morning of 75% off, they have combined all the seasonal stuff from throughout the store (clothing, bath, dishes, etc)
