I was needing some advise, please?
I am going today to buy my crockpot, should I wait for better deals, or do these never go much on sale?
i have a target GC for $25 so I'm hopping to find a great deal there,
what do you think...

You can usually find a good price at target on their appliances. I just bought another crock pot after thinking I wouldn't use mine, and I sold it at a garage sale...UGH! But they are very helpful in planning meals for a busy family on the go. Good Luck.

I wouldn't pay more than $20 for my first crockpot. I rarely see sales on these items since the price is fairly stable. You can get a Rival 4-qt for that price, which is a pretty decent brand and size. If you find that you use the crockpot a lot, you can then decide whether or not it is worth it for you to get another.

The next time these kinds of small appliances will be on sale will be at the end of summer when "Back-To-School" buying for college students starts.

Simple is fine. My mother in law's has a bunch of gizmos all over it - multiple temperatures, a timer, etc. Mine just has an "OFF, LOW, HIGH" dial. Every crockpot recipe I've ever seen has directions to cook on low or high for certain amount of time. When my MIL uses hers, she has to figure out what low & high are on the temp dial.. it's confusing and she's toasted the stuff she's cooked in there so far. The only thing I recommend is a removable insert. You can fill your crockpot insert the night before, stick it in the fridge and then pop it into the crockpot liner and turn it on in the morning. You can stick it in the dishwasher to get it clean! I'm not sure - maybe all crockpots nowadays have removeable inserts. It's been years since I've bought one. I had one for years, and then it got a crack in it and one day I lifted out the insert, only to leave the bottom behind. I got a replacement from a garage sale the next day. I use mine a good bit but I really want to use it more this year as well. Just yesterday morning I mixed chili together in it and I was SO relieved to see 5pm roll around and know all I needed to do was grab a bowl - and not have to thaw chicken, cut veggies, cook, clean, etc. It was so simple and so relaxing! (I have a great chili recipe if you're interested)

Target by me had a few on the endstand on clearance. So did walmart. I got mine in Sams for 30 on clearance with two liners and it is a 7 quart. I bought mine a little bigger so I can make freezer meals. Sams and BJS normally have them for about 40ish with extras.

I just want to second that it needs to be a simple one to operate and have the inside that lifts out. They are sooo hard to clean if it does not lift out.
