Just wanted to share that when I went to walgreens to get my soap other RR items. I was told by the cashier that they just received an email from corporate that you will no longer be able to use coupons and get the RR. That was at my problem walgreens. I had just been at my GOOD walgreens and they didn't say anything. In fact the cashier was saying what a great job I did on the coupons. She even gave a a coupon for the free after rebate garnier nutrisse skin care product. This is a hot topic on the coupon sites. according to one poster at a coupon site her walgreens put up a sign saying you can't use coupons with the RR items. Just wondering if anyone is seeing/hearing this info as well.

what is rr items sorry i always use the manfaure coupons and the coupons from the flyer. IS this being phased out???pleeease no

I hadn 't heard this and they shouldn't do that. The coupons are from the manufacturers and they get their money back from them, so I don't know why walgreens should care.

I agree, those are manufacturers coupons, so Walgreens actually makes money on them when they are submitted back to the manufacturer. The rebate items are from Walgreens. It might be a manager's issue (at that particular store).

I was at my WG yesterday and didn't see any such sign.

They did, however, give me a form to fill in when my RR didn't print for the soap. The girl said it is a glitch in their system and they had a stack of these forms - you send it in with a copy of your receipt to get your RR.

I had a problem with the soap RR on Sunday and had just gotten my RR for it (one Wed.). I showed the manager my receipt and he printed me an RR for the soap.

FWIW, I used coupons on both of those transactions and no one said anything about this new policy. I know that my WG will NOT accept IP coupons

forgot to mention that I did get the RR while also using the manufacture coupons. But the cashier was positive it wasn't going to print. I pretty much think I will stick to my good wags. the health and beauty cashiers almost always give me extra coupons.

I went to Walgreens on Monday to cash in on their 6 for $20 on Proctor and Gamble products. Their ad advertised that if you buy 6 of their selected products, you only pay $20 and then they give you $12 in RR. SO, I went and got two bottles of Aussie hairspray, two bottles of Zest bodywash for my husband, and 2 bottles of Olay body wash for me. I had one coupon for $2 off 2 on the Aussie, two coupons for $1 off 1 on the Zest, and 1 coupon for $1 off 2 on the Olay. SO, I got 6 for $15, and they they gave me $12 in RR. THEN, I did the same thing on their Crest products. I bought two mouthwashes and one dental floss - advertised at 3 for $9, get $3 RR. I had 2, $1 off coupons for the mouth wash and 75 cents off the dental floss. SO $6.25 is what I paid, and they gave me $3 in RR. THEN, I turned around and bought the Crest White Strips which were advertised for $21.99. I had a $5 off walgreens coupon and a $3 off manufacturer coupon, making them $13.99. I used my RR to buy them and they were free. I still have $1 in RR. Nobody ever said anything (except the man behind me....it took the cashier a while and he was mad he had to wait...). SO, I got a lot for nothing. We use it all. No impulse buys!
