Hi,

I read somewhere on this board about just asking for a 10% discount at Lowes when you are checking out. I beleive it was said the info came from the casheir who works at Lowes. Well I did ask if they know about this policy and they gave me an attitude, like I am crazy for asking such a weird thing.
It was two women, than they checked with another one, and after that they started to ask who told me this and where is this friend from.
I told them I will find more details about it.
Does anyone know what I am talking about? I can seem to find it now.

Thanks for your help,
Vlasta

I know that when you apply for the credit and you ask about a 10% off your first purchase they will do it. Even if it isnt being offered as an incentive at that time. I applied for instant credit and asked and they gave it to me. hth

That doesn't really sound quite right...that just asking and they'll give you 10% on anything that you might be buying (without signing up for their credit card etc). JMO They often will work with you on additional discounts clearance, slightly damaged items, floor models etc You have to talk to the manager usually though, not the cashier.

no, it was not credit card thing.
it was in a thread where 10% coupon code was taked about, and someone said you can use that 10% coupon (Lowes moving coupon) over and over at Home depot since they take competetors coupons and than someone said you can always get 10% off at Lowes just by asking for it and info came from a Lowes worker.
I just can not find that thread to reread it. Does noone remember it or was I daydreaming it.

I know that you can find plenty of Lowe's and Home Depot coupons online and both competitors will accept the coupon after the expired date. But I've never heard to ask at Lowe's for the coupons.
