Finally saw a deal to use my new member card on.

Cheerios (14 oz.) 2 for $7.99 w/$4 in Extra Bucks. Plus I had a $1 off of two boxes coupon from our Sunday circular. Final price $1.50 per box.

Also, 12 pack of Diet Pepsi for $3. (My DH and I are cutting down to one soda per day.)

Not bad. But check your receipts. I did not know that my $4 in Extra Bucks would expire after one month.

The expiration date of the bucks is the main reason I don't shop there. I think some deals are good, but if there are no deals in 2-3 weeks, you could lose your own money if you don't get something. The last time I shopped there, I had $2 in ecbs and just bought a hairspray to use it up because everything else is so expensive. I look at CVS as a store that you pay up front, sometimes you pay alot, and then you use this "free" money to buy other things. I kind of think of it as a loan to CVS. The only way it works well is if you keep getting absolutely free things, if not, you've paid up front for it, or you lose $ if it expires. I'm glad you found some good deals!

although I have never done this, I have read on other boards that if you call customer service, you can get them to extend the exp date. I don't know if that means they will email you new ones, or new ones will print out for you, not sure on that. Worth a shot to see if you can get them extended. I don't seem to have a problem using them up though!!

Our CVS accepts expired ECBs. I have redeemed them a month or 2 after the date with no problem...
