You can use the ECBs right after you get them. They DO have an expiration date on them though so you only have about 3 wks or so to spend them. So that's the idea behind going back and getting more of the things that are giving you MORE ECBs. I have enough shampoo, deodorant, razors, toothpaste, toothbrushes, pain relievers, antacids, etc. to last a long time. I just stockpile them all and if my kids schools are doing some sort of charity drive I always have lots of things to send in. So I buy when they're giving ECBs instead of waiting until I need them. Hope I'm explaining that well.
But DO make sure you use them before they expire. I found a $20 one the other day that expired in JANUARY!!!
