Just another tip...remember to hand over any CVS bucks before any other type of payment.

Say your bill is $10 and you intend to pay with $5 ECB and $5 cash. If you give them the cash first they cannot go back and scan the ECB.

The only time this actually has not been a problem for me was when it was a manager and they voided the payment.

Okay, I've done 2 trips so far this week and hopefully I'm done!

My first trip I got:
1 jumbo pack Pampers $8.99
2 Kiss nail glue $1.99 each
1 360 toothbrush $3.99

I used:
CVS coupon $3/$15
$1.50 pampers coupon
$1.00 toothbrush coupon
$10.98 ECBs

After tax I paid $1.29 oop and earned $8.99 in ECBs.

My second trip I got:
1 addidas deodorant $4.99
1 toothpaste $1.88
1 Sunmaid raisins $2.00
1 trial size shave gel $0.99

I used:
$4.99 addidas coupon
$0.75 toothpaste coupon
$0.55 shave gel coupon
$3.99 in ECBs

After tax I paid $0.11 oop and earned $4.99 in ECBs.

The only thing I can that is a possibility is the quarterly rewards. Once each quarter (the last was Apr 1) you get back a small percentage of the money you spend. Can't remember exactly but it's 1% or maybe 2%, PLUS you get back $1 for every 2 prescriptions you have filled there. Now THAT stuff all registers automatically as long as you scan your card.

Stupid me actually deleted the email after I received it. Oh well, I'll just be safe and use the actual coupons. Thanks for all the help ladies!

Ooops....I usually post this each wk with the deals but forgot this wk. Extra care bucks print off on the bottom of your receipt. They're essentially money to be used towards your NEXT purchase. Hope this helps!!

FOR THOSE OF YOU NEW TO CVS AND ROLLING ECB'S....PLEASE READ HOW IT WORKS.

For those of you that aren't familiar with CVS, you initially have to buy things with actual money but then certain items give you Extra Care Bucks (ECBs) that you use on your next trip to make purchases. If you're a smart CVSer, you can get bags full of things for very little money out of pocket once you get a supply of ECBs.

So remember....if you've not already been CVSing, you'll have to pay for the items the first time. You might want to only buy a few of the things that generate ECBs to start. Then use the ECBs you get when you go back again & again & again to keep buying more. I usually walk out of CVS with several bags and only spending a dollar or two.

I can't believe I've never really paid attention to the ECBs! I'm in shock at the savings. I'm taking my coupons and heading over there tomorrow. Hopefully they'll still have some things in stock. Thanks so much for listing all of these free and near free items! I really appreciate it.
