The Whitmans and Russell Stover candy for $3.99 then use the $2 coupons from the Sunday paper so boxes of candy for $1.99.

Here's what I bought today:

Ice Breaker Mints - 2/$3 $2 ECB
Colgate Kids 2in1 Toothpaste - $1.88 $1 off coupon
Colgate Total Whitening Toothpaste - $1.88 $1 off coupon
2 Colgate 360degree Toothbrushes - $7.98 $1 off coupon from previous Sunday circular and I got $7.98 in ECBs
Aquafresh Advanced Toothpaste - $2.99 $1 off coupon and $2.99 in ECBs

My total was $15.11 and I took $2 in ECBs off that price. My grand total was $13.11 and I got $12.97 back in ECBs

Just a tip to help other newbies like myself - I heard aliadam talk about monthly specials but today I found the CVS monthly magazine at my checkout.

I am thankful to you as well! I just got back from CVS and I got $26.33 worth of stuff (all on sale, so that's not the actual prices) for $7.96. I used $14 in ECBs and I had $4.99 in coupons. I walked away with 2 Tides, Cascade, Reynolds Wrap, toothpaste and of course CHOCOLATE! i also bought the water in a 24 pack for $3.49. I live in Florida and it is almost hurricane season, so I need to start stocking up! Thanks again Aliadam!
