I just got a supply of cards for Mother's Day, Graduations, Teacher Appreciation, etc. These are from The Dollar Tree and they were all 2/$1.00:

Has great deals too. 2 for $1 or $1 each! The price on the backs is up to $4 or so!

We decided last month that we were going to start buying cards at the dollar store... we went last month and bought all ouf our birthday cards for April, May and June, (8 cards)and all of our Mothers Day cards (6 cards) for $7. We would have spent that much on 2 Hallmark cards! At the end of this month, I will go again to get Father's Day cards, and July and August b-day cards. Our family is really big card givers, which sometimes is a pain but since I have found the dollar store it doesn't hurt the budget as much!

I saw some really nice embellished cards there. I think they were $1 each which is great. They looked hand made.

Kim, I want to thank you for this. I had dh stop there on his way home. I usually avoid the $ stores...don't like them.

Anyway, he said he felt like he was stealing them, since he could see the "normal" prices on the back and got nice ones!

Thank you. I wouldn't have even thought of this and would have paid full price for throwaways.

I went to 2 of my local thrift shops and I found a lot of cards there (all kinds!! birthday, father's day, thank you, get well, etc). one store was 20 cents each, and the other store was 25 cents each. what a great find. I got father's day cards for the next 5 years!!! so check your local thrift shops for some cards you never know what you can find there!!!!

I bought mil's card there last week.

I find that buying in bulk at Current is also less expensive. They often have a free shipping code out.
