I came across an article today about mystery shopping and
one tip was to visit THIS site:Volition® Mystery Shopping, which apparently is the 'bible' of mystery shopping. LOL I havn't checked it out myself, but it looks interesting so far.

Does anyone have some tips of thier own to offer as far as mystery shopping goes? Has anyone got a chance to do this?

I have done a few but the time put into it is something I can't do right now so I took a break for a while. I've done a few Publix shops that were worth my while because I do my weekly shopping there anyway but you can only shop the same location once a month so doing it once was $17.

I hate mystery shopping but that is probably because I'm biased (worked retail too long) ... I think they are so a poor gauge of true customer service. That said, I tried one time. Got to review a bank ... I was AWFUL at it and I'm sure the woman knew what I was really doing.

I was a mystery shopper for a couple years, then was offered an at home job as an Account Manager for a mystery shopping company, which I just let go a couple months ago. Mystery shopping is fun, though I never really made much money, I got lots of free meals and services. It's definitely not for everyone though. You have to be very observant and a strong writer. You wouldn't believe how bad some of the reports were when I was editing. I LOVED being an Account Manager, it was just editing and scheduling, and completely flexible, but I didn't have enough time. I only worked about 10-15 hours a week but I could not longer justify the time it took from my family and it wasn't really all that much money.
