My entire mom career has involved one year where I did not bring in any outside income. My DH supported us completely. I did so many crafts! Now I work both in the home and out of the home (just a few hours out of the home) and sometimes I miss it. Right now I'm taxing my brain on a program that I haven't used in ages and I don't remember. I think that is my biggest struggle. When I'm dealing with something hard, I start looking back to the good old days.

Yes I miss it. But, with the current economy, and dh's business income down 75% the last few years, I don't have much choice. If the economy rebounds or dh finds a job, you better believe things will go back to the way they were!

Yes, at times i think back to the different ways i used to save money. I had more time to shop the rummage sales for baby/kids clothing. Had more time to really seriously clip coupons, organize them and know which stores to match them with. More time to cook from scratch, more reading time (i love to read) and my house was so much more organized back then.

Yes! Every single day.

I don't mind making money casually (working the census, working as a temp, selling stuff, filling in at the school, etc) but this every workday, mid-day stuff is taxing. I made a one year commitment and I'm counting down the days - literally. I want my life back
