Anyone heard of them/work for them? I did an online webcast with them the other day... but I'm really just on the fence with the whole thing. I've tried selling (and failed) Mary Kay.. and I just don't want to put the effort into another dead end business.
I currently work full time, but the work isn't jiving well with my young family. Since going back to work they've put me on swing shift (something I've never had to do before) and it's seriously NOT working. I'm looking into other avenues right now, but there isn't much in my line of work. Sooo... I'm now looking into different work from home oppertunities. Any suggestions/direction would be greatly appreciated.

I did try out Melalueca. Its just okay. You will have to put alot of work into making this work, and yes MONEY. You have to purchase so much product per month and recruit members. They advertise no stocking, no selling, and you don't have to, but you need to try and recruit people into the program. A way of describing this would be just like Amway.
The products however are very good. I did enjoy them very much. They are green, and family friendly. But it wasn't worth the amount of money I put out each month on them. Thats JMO
We have discussed this in the past, I'll dig up some old threads for ya.

DON'T!!!! DO!!! IT!! DONT SIGN ANYTHING!! THEY ARE REALLY SHADY AN THEY FAIL TO EXPLAIN THINGS TO YOU UPFRONT!! You will have a product quota requirement every month which can be up to $70!! If you dont place an order by the end of the month, they automatically charge the card you used to sign up!! Also, once they tried to charge my cc for the month but it declined soooo....they charged my husbands debit card!!! I NEVER EVER gave them that cc number so i am not sure how they got it!! Currently, i am STILL TRYING to cancel my membership...you have to state in writing, that you no longer wish to be a member, you CANT do it over the phone, yet, they have NO PROBLEM signing me up over the phone!!!! They keep claiming that they havent received my letter so i have to keep turning a new letter!!! uggh!! I cant wait to get rid of them!! So, if you still want to sign up after this, make sure they go over everything!!!!

Yup that happened to me too, except they didn't charge another card. (that I know of anyway!) The cc was declined, and they sent me a bill for $45 that I never paid. But they never sent me anything again, and never billed me again. Far as I know, I'm done with them.

I do Melaleuca and I love it. I dont agree that they dont explain things upfront, I thought they made it pretty clear that you do have to meet a certain amount of points each month, so I am sorry to hear that some others have not had good experiences with them. With any home business, it is work. You have to be willing to put yourself out there.

I've been a customer of Melaleuca's for over a year. A few months ago, I decided to begin it as a business and have seen a lot of success. I am so sorry to hear that there are others that are posting here that felt they were scammed - our founder preaches to us consistently to not misrepresent the company and make false claims or not be truthful about how people make money - the real truth about the products and the company is strong enough without having to fabricate anything.
Unfortunatly there are individuals out there who either don't KNOW or whose morals are not strong who feel that if they can dupe enough people, hopefully some will stay with them and mamke them money - that is NOT what Melaleuca is about.
When you join, you get a full refundable $29 membership kit that is VERY clear on how the compensation program works. The company is offering a $1 promotion this month, so you really have nothing to lose. I can tell you from personal experience that I only buy the products I want for my family to use - and I've loved nearly everything, I SAVE money on the stuff I buy, and I am actually seeing $500+ in checks a month after putting effort into my business about 7 -10 hours a week for only a few months, each month my checks have grown and I am expecting at least $1k for my work in November. Bottom line is, if you try it and aren't happy or don't see it working for you - quit - return the prducts and get all of your money back. They have a strong relationship with the BBB and have never had a major lawsuit filed against them for misrepresentation - they are legit and really work hard to make sure that the custoemrs are happy. If you would like to understand more about it reach out to the person that invited you to the webcast, or I'd be glad to answer your questions too - good luck which ever way you decide - but I think you'll be really happy if you give them a go : )

Ladies please don't listen to everything they tell you. My husband is a member of Melaluca, I too did a web cast months ago and I was skeptical. So I never joined. Now having a husband who uses it I have had a chance to use the products. My husband and I are very much into living an organic and natural lifestyle. After reading the ingredient lists on the back of (all the produts we use) which is toothpaste, deodrant, handsoap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash most of the products the company is dupping people into thinkng they are all natural. Most of the products contain the same ingredients that you can buy for a couple of dollars at your local stores. I would have looked up the cleaning products but of course they don't tell you what they use. The products also are tested on animals (there is no markings on any products that says they aren't.)
I love tea tree oil and use it for many things but you can buy it from ther places I hae used both the Melaluca brand and Now Foods brand and I have not noticed a difference in effectivness, and I can tell you I did not pay almost $12 plus shipping and handeling for it!
Sorry to be such a downer but the company is not what they used to be the hand soap bottles my husband has from years ago contains totally different ingredients then it does today.

I too am working with Melaleuca and use all their products. I was very well informed of all the requirements and all the paperwork I signed and received was very specific as well. You give them a cc to put on file, and can have an alternative payment as well that would be a backup if the first doesnt go through. Not sure how else they could get this info unless it was given to them??
Maybe the individual who signed these people up was new and didnt understand the procedures themselves, because that is not what we are taught. This should be no reflection on the company. You can call their customer service at anytime and ask questions. They even have an area of customer service that is strictly for new customers within their first 5-6 months. I am very happy with them.
As with any business there will be work and some money involved to get where you want to be and I feel this was a decent investment, not that expensive. You are required to order monthly so you know the products that they offer, how can you sell something if you dont use it yourself.
For anyone having difficulty cancelling, send me a message and I will help you that is something that the person who signed you up should be doing. We dont want you stuck in something that isnt for you! Anyone interested in Melaleuca that just wants more info, I would be more than happy to get you the info you need as well!
