Do you use them?

I don't so much. But my DH has about half of his educational consultants on his Facebook. It works great. Keeps them remembering him and our business even when we were out of it for it for a bit. He just got a message on Thursday from a consultant (a BIG consultant) asking him to contact her secretary to set up a time to "talk". He got the secretary on the phone, who originally wasn't very friendly, and, in the course of their conversation he was able to help her with a question she had about Facebook (one that she had asked five other people about) and now, as she told him, he's her BFF. And he also got the interview time.

Yes I use facebook and twitter. I have a fan page set up on twitter, which is really neat because then you can send out reminders and sales and all your information to people who like your business. So far Facebook has been better for me than twitter

OMG YES! I use Facebook and Twitter as well. CRUCIAL for your business. But you dont want to over-do it. You want it to be about 80/20 80% personal and 20% business.

I have to agree 80/20 is perfect, i have a personal facebook and a business fan page, I make sure to always update my personal with personal stuff and i use it more often than the business page. As far as twitter I twitter mostly personal stuff but sometimes throw in special sales or new product on my twitter

I do use them, but I used them before I started my business. I have a twitter, myspace and facebook account. My twitter is all business, but my myspace and facebook are kind of personal (with pictures of me and my family) and mention the business. I don't want to throw it in peoples' faces that I own a business, but it is mentioned.
