Thats a great website! There are so many different companies out there!

So for those of you that do sell, is there a lot of work put into it? I mean I am willing to put effort into it I guess what I mean to say is what you make worth it If that makes any sense, lol Anyone feel free to pm me with any helpful information

It is all what you put into the business!

My shows are about 2 1/2 -3 hrs long. I set up about 1/2 before... I spend 15 mintutes or so befor eshow and after show to close it out, make phone calles and etc. Total time for show befor eduring and after is about 4 hrs. I do 4-6 shows a month.

If you want a raise, the only way to get one is to recruit. With ls you get 30% commission, promote to manager with 3 recruits you would get 40% and 10% override on your recruits. We don't cap off. Plus you can get team sales bonuses...

I know some don't like to talk about money, but my first year with lia I made about $9,000 not to bad.. My 2nd year I made over $43,000,, Yep you read that right. Just working 4-6 nights a week. So it all depends on what you want out of it.. Having a great upline manager that will help you grow your business..

Up here we also have Layers clothing, I have thought about doing that, the girl I used to get it from just had twins, so I might give her a call. It's very cute and comfortable, and if you buy it on sale you get a great deal!

I know this is an old post, but just found it. I am with Gold Canyon and Fuller Brush. Both great companies, although with GC you have to have a min sales every quarter/year, or you pay a renewal fee. Fuller Brush has 3 different kits you can choose from to fit your budget. There are alot of great companies out there. You just have to choose one that you can be passionate about. With any home business, you have to put some effort and work into it to make it work for you. You dont work...you dont get paid. Hope you have found something that works for you. HTH.

Just an FYI, Tastefully Simple is gourmet food products at very good prices. It is a great choice because people eat it and need more. There is alot with re-orders so you do not have to push parties if you are not comfortable with that. I believe that you can look at their web page to see how many consultants are in your area. It is based in Minnesota, so if you are from the west, there may be more opportunities there.
If you have any questions on it, let me know. I sell it in ND. The commission is 36%. I love it.

hi!
Just wanted to add another company that is out there (that very few people have heard of), which is The Traveling Vineyard...
I market wine via in home wine tasting parties...it is a great job and a ground floor opportunity and it does appeal to men and women....
Just another idea...

Hi, My name is Diana Mowery. I saw your posting about wanting to sell things other than Avon. I work with a wonderful team of mothers selling health friendly and eco friendly products. I stay home with my children and still bring in a paycheck. If you would like more information I would be glad to share about our company with you.

I don't think I saw anyone mention Watkins. My mom sold for them for many years. She would still be selling but it's gotten hard for her to get around to do deliveries. They've been around for a long, long time (140+ years) but oddly enough many people have never heard of them. When you do find someone that has heard of them they jump to buy because they love the products.

I sell Homemade Gourmet. I got started with them because I was buying so much my DH said sign us up. They have a ton of mixes that are gluten free and it makes it nice to have a wide variety of gluten free meals to make quick and easy.

I suggest you pick something that has products you'll use yourself. Yes it's nice to have home decor items and candles etc.. but if you can't justify spending the money for samples and you can't make use of the samples that don't sell, then it's not worth signing up.

Also take a look around your area and see who else is selling it. It'll be impossible to make money of there's already a rep for that company around every corner. Most companies will tell you how many people are already selling it in your area.

I was an Avon rep MANY years ago, and it was nice back then because Avon restricted selling areas. So you never had to fight with 4 other reps in a 1 mile radius. I've also sold Tupperware, and was one of the nation's top managers at one time.. but once again, they had a consultant around every corner and eventually it was impossible to make money. I have so much Tupperware in my house it's scary.
