Can you live off what you make? Or it enought to help out? Spending money? Groceries?

My WAH money was MY money, my fun money. I initially used household funds to purchase supplies, but as my bow business grew and I consigned clothes, I would reinvest it in my business, then the rest was for ME. Of course I used it for the kids, bought them more clothes, ect, but it was nice being able to not use household money for that type of thing. Plus alot of the people I sold bows too would actually trade me, clothes for bows. It always works out.

That seems to be a common thread - when we do have money for ourselves, we rarely spend it that way!!

My WAH job pays my monthly mini-van payment and then some. This month it has paid for 2 tickets to San Jose, 1 ticket for grandma to come and watch the kids and some much needed alone time with my husband. It has truly been a blessing to me--without my WAH job we won't have the extra money.

My WAH job I could live off of if I had to. Right now I use it to pay for unexpected expenses (this month was to fix some car problems), extra little trips and vacations, and nights out with my husband. Plus there is always most of it put away in our savings. My WAH job though is full-time, with full benefits just like a normal office job. I actually make enough by myself to pay all the bills in the house and have a little leftover... so it has truly been an amazing advantage for us.

I could also live off my wah business, although my standard of living would definitely change. Right now all my income is going to debt reduction or to our IRS estimated tax payments (we're both self-employed).

The money I make isn't separated in our budget (although believe me I keep track!). I do get an extra $50 for groceries/household in my budget though.

I don't make enough to live on, and I mostly do it to keep busy. It is nice to know "oh I made this much extra this month so we can do this" though.
