Pardon the implied word in my title but I'm angry.
Alright, so... the end of April I became a Mary Kay consultant. It started out ok, I was kind of excited but at the moment... I am not. I have no desire what-so-ever to try and get together with people and sell those products.
Other than that... my husband just got a new job at the end of May at the same place he was working, but the way it worked, he got his paycheck and a week later he got half a paycheck and wasn't paid again for a month. we just got that paycheck but, because of that, and some other little things... money is screwed up right now.
I want to have a sale on my Mary Kay inventory to get some of that money back that I spent on it, and then quit. I think at the moment, I'd rather get a job elsewhere and work on the weekends, and maybe a day during the week. It will be a regular paycheck for me. Mary Kay isn't a guarantee. I can schedule a million facials and classes, it doesn't mean they'll buy anything from me. And that extra money would really help.
I emailed my 'director' and told her I may quit and asked for more information. we've sent a few emails and she's ticking me off. "Oh, I was surprised to hear this. You realize you've only been doing this for 2 months?" "If money is the issue I don't understand why you don't get our there and work MK, and sell products"
I had also mentioned my daugther. "What kind of job can you get without leaving your daughter?"
Well, none with my skill level. But if I got a job on the weekends, and did even just one night during the week... I could leave her with my husband. With MK, I have to leave her with someone else during the day while I have my appointments because most of the ppl aren't available later in the day.
Then my recruiter called just a few minutes ago to talk to me. She said some of the same things, like they're just trying to push me to not quit. And she actually said something along the lines of "knowing what's best."
Aside from money, other things are going on with my life that I'm not going to talk to either of them about.
They're like pushy telemarketers.
