Okay - this may not belong here- (it can be moved if need be ) I am a Longaberger consultant.. but I am slowly thinking of not being one- it is too expensive, I am feeling bad for my self because this is one of those luxuries that I can not justify... ughhh I need to get past this "Wanting" Longaberger, no one in their right mind can justify a basket that costs as much as our 50 dollar a week grocery challenge- or cost as much as a tank of gas right????

You sound like a basket case. If buying the baskets makes you feel guilty, then I would say it's time to give them up. Take all the money you would have spent on them and put it in your emergency fund or towards paying of debt.

I started as a consultant while pregnant with my first. By the time I had my third I had lost my job and we were living on one paycheck. I never had a thriving business and bought a lot of baskets for myself. I gave it up and have since sold most of my baskets in yard sales. I do not need to have these expensive reminders around me. I didn't even use most of them. In less than 3 years I probably spent over $1,000 on baskets!!! STUPID!!!

I was just invited to a party. That is the first time I heard of it. I looked up the website and decided I couldn't afford the merchandise. I didn't go.

I had a friend who had a house-full of them. She invited me to a party. I bought the smallest one I could find out of obligation. They are pretty, they are well-made, they are pointless. I can get 10 baskets at Pier One for the price of that one, and it doesn't matter if they wear out faster because I would get tired of it anyway. It's nice for a gift, but I just can't see spending that sort of money. Release yourself - you'll find a better thing to put the money towards!

Like Calimari said, release yourself. If you really want the basket, what you could do is save up for a special occasion like your birthday or Christmas only.

I like that- LOL Release myself...
I have made the decision that I will only buy a basket handmade from a local person from now on.. they are waaayyy cheaper than Longaberger and I am helping the local people- they are still better made than storebought Made In China- but not stressing me out with 75 dollar price tags!!
We have several craft shows a year that these 2 or 3 local people have thier baskets at and I will save $$ for one of those as a treat
