I haven't but I have a friend that sells candles and baked goods -- all things that she has made from her home. She has done very well.

I thought about doing the stuff I'm making, or baked goods, but the licensing and inspection stuff is way too daunting. Here, I'd have to have a completely separate kitchen and all the stuff, like a restaurant, to not get nailed. Oh well I guess I just keep giving it away then.

I just made bows for all our midget cheerleaders. I sold them for $5 each. That was mostly to cover the cost of materials. But I'm hoping that will turn into something else, since everyone knows I made awesome handmade bows for cheer, maybe I can continue this. Not sure I can make a living off of this, but it was intersting to try.

We are in NC & my mom makes loaves of sourdough bread & sells them for $5 apiece!!! She's made some great spending $$$ for their upcoming beach trip just selling to coworkers & friends.

My MIL and I have talked about selling pumpkin rolls near Christmas. I keep trying to convince my mom to make & sell her pies around the holidays, especially since she is close enough with a couple who own a town restaurant that would gladly put her pies on their dessert menu. But she refuses, saying she doesn't want to lose the love of doing it. My aunt makes wonderful jams, jellies and vinegars, and I've often thought of asking to branch out down here using her recipes, and giving her a portion of the profits. But then I think -- hey I can make up my own and do it myself right? Why not?
