NOTHING says that you need to accept state paid clients!!! (At least in Illinois you don't).
It is YOUR business, YOU make your own rules!!! If you want her, then you COULD make a new/different contract for state paid clients (and keep your original one for self-pay clients).
IF you take her on as a client, get her co-pay for the month BEFORE the first day of care, and MAKE SURE TO GET COPIES OF ALL OF HER PAPERS STATING THAT SHE HAS BEEN ACCEPTED AND WHAT THE CO-PAY RATES ARE......DO NOT TAKE HER WORD FOR IT!!!
With state pay in Illinois, the state only pays you IF and WHEN the child is in your care (not paid holidays, not vacations, not late fees, just when the child is actually in your care.) The state is also REALLY picky if the child misses a day or more, and many, MANY other "fine print" type things.
We do not accept state paid clients, because it is such a hassle!
