Hey anyone out there have a good quick/inexpensive idea for home made gifts for my kids' godparents? I have 2 boys age 5 and 7 and every year we have done something home made for their godparents and would like a new idea. Thanks!

One year my son made pinecone ornaments. We glue on some of the edges and then put glitter on them and then attached something to hang it w/. You can even make angels out of them! They are really cute and the kids can kinda do their own thing w/ it. Plus every year when the person hangs it on their tree they will think of the person that gave it too them.

We did handprint and foot print on a garden stone. Cheap and easy!

For the godmothers, some homemade bath stuff would be great. The easiest would be homemade oatmeal/milk bath...put equal parts powdered milk and ground oatmeal (you can put it in the blender OR you can use oatmeal baby cereal)...then drop in a few drops of scented oil or essential oils (the scented oils you get at Hobby Lobby/Michael's/etc. take more than the essential oils!!) to your desired scent...put a lid on the bowl and shake to blend well. Package it however you desire!

Sugar scrub is easy too....you can put a cup of sugar in a bowl and add (a little at a time) PURE olive oil until it reaches a pasty consistency. Then add your oil to the desired scent level. Package in half pint mason jars and tie one of the miniature wooden spoons around the top...or a cute plastic measuring spoon/scoop.
*HINT* If you want the scrub to have a slight lather, you can add half olive oil and half unscented liquid soap (you can buy this at Hobby Lobby or other craft stores) until you reach the pasty consistency.

Make trivets for them to use in their kitchen! Have the kids draw on 6"x6" ceramic floor tiles (like 75 cents at home depot) with either sharpie markers or acrylic paints. polyurethane top & edges. glue felt to bottom. You can also do this with coasters; just use smaller tiles.

We're giving both grandmothers a painting that ds finger painted - we'll frame it and put a pic in the corner of him painting.

Godparents might like this too.
