I love this! and just to let you know a taggie blanket is a little square of fabric ( how ever big you want) and it has little loops of ribbon or fabrics that are sewed onto the outside of it so the little one can rub on it. My dd has one and loves it, in fact she cant go to bed without it. You just have to make sure that they will not come off, because a lot of kids will suck on them or pull on them.

Yes! I did a search and found them...and one site was selling a 12x12 blanket for like $20!!! Uh...yikes! I can make one. I have tons of ribbon and some different fabrics. I think I'll attempt one to finish off his gift.

That book is adorable. I just got a sewing maching and will be taking some classes at the beginning of January. I can thread it, put the bobbin in and make a few stiches and that is it. I hopw to be able to do things like that!!

I purchased a Taggie Blanket for my almost 22 month old son as he LOVES ANYTHING with a tag, he'll find the tag and pop his thumb into his mouth. I thought that he would LOVE the blanket but he really doesn't love it that much. I'm sure with your nephew being so much younger, he probably will though!!
