And I am really happy with how it turned out!

I love the blue toile fabric I found at an outlet store.

Ohhh, very pretty and classy. I'm having a hard time telling, did you paint the buffet drawers and sides or cover them with something or it just looks that way? I need to go decorate my dining room. Or you could come here and do it for me

You are funny! But I am always up for an all-expense paid trip!

DH refinished the buffet. The body of it was done with a paint technique...not sure if it would be considered a wash or something else.

Love the colors! Very classy and Elegant. The toile and the dishes are awesome and I love the colors matching in the rug with the furniture and the blue, well done. The only thing that maybe I would have done differently is to hang the curtains high above the top window. On HGTV, they always suggest that to make the wall/room seem higher and larger. Great job! Now, I need to clean and organize mine..it's not used much, so it becomes a "storage" area!

Thanks!

I love the idea of hanging the drapes higher. It really does extend the walls. We did that in DD's nursery and the difference was incredible. The main reason I didn't do that in this room was because I didn't want to hide the transom. Also, the ceilings are 10 ft., so didn't really need to extend the height. That is an AWESOME tip though.

No. The moldings were there when we bought the house. DH did extend the same molding throughout the foyer and the great room though. It was pretty easy. Well, chair railing and picture molding was easy. The crown was difficult.

Very pretty! My grandmother gave me some dishes that look just like that. They are my favorite!

Thank you ma'am!

I got most of mine (dishes) from my mother's collection when she passed away. I really do like them too,
