I was looking for a picture of this project, but can't find it.
I made this a long time ago and it hung up in my window for three years!
Needed:
Just get some some fresh pretty leaves with long stems from outside.
Ribbon or Yarn to hang and bead on, maybe about 12 inches long.
Some large pretty beads that you can string the stems and yarn through.

Now what you do is lace the beads on the ribbon along with the stems of the leaves, going through the beads as well. Then hang them up in front of your windows or anywhere you deam worthly.

If I find the picture, I'll add later.

i also bought a bunch of miniature foams gourds and squash from the dollar store, and some foam pumpkins from target. we drilled holes into the top of them and looped in fishing line. then we tied the line to a 3/8 inch thick twine cord. we hung it up as a garland on our front awning. these are similar to the foam veg i used

Thanks for sharing this! I've done this one every year, but only put one handprint on it. I like it better with multiple handprints! Very cool!
~
For another spin off from this idea is to make a rake and leaves one too.
Paint the forearm and hand and put it on the paper as it were a rake.
Then add a whole bunch of fingerprint leaves all over by the rake.
~
I love hand and footprint crafts!
I have a whole bunch of fun Halloween ideas too if anyone wants them.

My DD made this 2 yrs. ago for the county fair, it is really simple and cute.

Supplies:

Toilet tissue rolls
Orange fabric (I got the fabric at a second hand store)
Brown paper bag
Glue
12-inch green pipe cleaners
Green felt leaves

Directions:

-First put each roll in the center of a 22- by 18-inch piece of fabric, gather the fabric around it, and tuck the edges into the top hole.

-To make a stem, roll a strip of brown paper bag and glue the edge.

-To create a vine, glue one end of a pipe cleaner to a felt leaf, then curl the pipe cleaner around the stem. Insert the stem in the hole.
