Scarecrow-jeans, plaid shirt, straw hat, bandanas or string to tie around ankles and hands. I have seen people stick hay or straw in the back of their pants and up their sleeves to make it look more authentic.

Farmer or Cowgirl- jeans, shirt, cowgirl hat, maybe a rope and boots.

Mummy-wear all white adn then wrap yourself once over with white cloth or even toliet paper.

Hunter- use SO's hunting clothes camoflauge or orange

I was at a halloween party last weekend and saw a couple dressed as H1N1:

They both wore pink long sleeved shirts, pig noses, and pig ears. They had written H1 on her shirt and N1 on his shirt. It was pretty clever!

A friend of mine has a Halloween party every year and has a theme with her DH. This year they are going as Princess Buttercup and Wesley from The Princess Bride. But, that's fairly fancy and requires advance planning (as well as a DH that will wear tights!).

Last year, though, she went as a firefighter and he went as a Dalmatian. It was extra cute because he really is a volunteer firefighter. And, those costumes were pretty simple. For the dalmatian, they colored spots on a cheap, white sweatshirt, and made ears.

A few years ago, I went as smarty pants. I got a bag of smarties and used packing tape to stick the packages of smarties all over my jeans. I wore those with a plain white t-shirt on which I wrote Smarty Pants in fabric paint. I had originally planned on sewing the candy to a pair of old pants but decided not to and I'm glad; everyone enjoyed the treats!

I'm going to wear my son's snowboarding gear to a party. It's all the cool brands instead of my old outlet store stuff. I'm not sure if I'll wear the boots though. They're kind of heavy and awkward. I'm even going to use pink makeup to give myself a goggle tan.

I think DH is going to wear his dirtbiking clothes minus the boots, because they have metal studs under the toes and I don't want him walking all over the hosts nice floors in those.
