We spent about $20. $5 for fabric for M's dress, then a pair of flip flops for me and a Charlie Brown shirt for my husband. Last year we only spent about $5.

$25 for an 8-foot leather bullwhip and a fedora to comlete my Indiana Jones costume, and $6 for a pair of big fuzzy slippers to complete Himself's clown costume.

Nothing! DS #1 wanted to be Handy Manny again this year, and everything from his costume from last year still fit. DS #2 is wearing the monkey costume that DS #1 wore three years ago.

Less than $20 and that was for all 4 of us. Everything was from Goodwill.

$0. I just pulled the tubs out of the attic with all the old costumes and the boys chose. I outfitted 5 boys that way!

DD-$2.99(Face Paint $2.00 and her witch outfit from clearance last year for $.99.) DS is sick, so I'll be staying home with him.

Less than $10...
My older DS ended up wearing a very old mechanics uniform of Dh's to his party last night! It's hilarious! Complete with embroidered name. He carried around a tire gauge and we gave him dirty fingernails. LOL
My younger DS was a mummy for friend parties - picture a LOT of cheesecloth. We had 'inherited' a whole bag of the stuff from my great aunt. A few weeks before Halloween, I was organizing some items in the basement and started kidding around with DS, and wrapped some around him...and a costume was born. He wore his offwhite long underwear underneath, but I did buy him some white booties at Home Depot to go over his tennis shoes.
Younger DS is also a 'suitcase' for TOTing tonight. Dh cut head and leg holes out of an old suitcase (cut the lid off) we had and we filled the center, around his body, with travel items like a map, clothing, toiletries etc It's HILARIOUS. All stuff we had here at the house. We did have to buy some very sticky double sided tape to help hold things in place.

That is hilarious! I actually have some old luggage that would be perfect for that! I'll have to remember this next year.
